International Journal of the Study of Music and Musical Performance
Call for Papers
The editors of the International Journal of the Study of Music and Musical Performance welcome the submission of articles and reviews in any language, on any musical subject, for publication in our inaugural issue (April 2018).
The International Journal of the Study of Music and Music Performance is an online-only journal hosted by the Open Music Library project. It advances both a general and professional interest in music and its performance with essays that cover a range of approaches: from discussions of little-known composers and musicians drawing upon primary and secondary sources to more specialized studies of composers, works, instruments, performers, audiences, and institutions. A review section will cover new books, scores, and recordings. Whenever possible, international contributions will be presented in the original language as well as in English.
The Journal appears under the auspices of six chief editors and a board of twenty-six advisory editors from diverse fields and countries. We are peer-edited, but not formally peer-reviewed.
Submissions should be sent to the email of one of the editors below.
